Dr Russell John Walton is one of the leading South African Plastic Surgeons and is based in Johannesburg. He has been in solo private practice for 36 years, and focuses his surgical skills purely on cosmetic surgery. He underwent training in Plastic Surgery in Bristol in the United Kingdom, Johannesburg, and completed his training at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town.
Dr Walton has lectured extensively internationally for the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and was awarded a Professorship of Postgraduate Education in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery by ISAPS in 1999, in appreciation for his dedicated efforts in teaching Plastic Surgeons worldwide. He continued to organize workshops and courses for fellow Plastic Surgeons for 18 years, whilst running a very busy and successful private cosmetic surgery practice.
He has a special interest in facial rejuvenation techniques, including face lifting and eyelid surgery under conscious sedation as an outpatient experience. He has a special interest too in anti-aging medicine, and the integration of these concepts into rejuvenation of the body as a whole. His skills in breast surgery and liposculpture, with fat transfers are recognized nationally and internationally.
Dr. Walton is a member of the Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons in South Africa, and registered to practice as a Plastic Surgeon in South Africa and Ireland. He was National Secretary of ISAPS for South Africa for 18 years. He travels extensively to workshops and conferences worldwide to hone his skills in cosmetic surgery.
